“Journey Through Color” Benefit – Fri. June 15, 7pm in Bremerton, WA

LAST CONCERT for the summer!! Don’t miss this benefit show for local needy families. Our new show “Journey Through Colors” will be held at Abundant Life Foursquare Church in Bremerton, WA. Quite different from our standard format, we will not be featuring any one musical artist but will begin an exploration of textures in sound and color. Still with an interpretive painter and musicians on stage, there will be multi-media, lighting effects and collaboration with the Abundant Life team.  We are excited about some new ideas that will share our inspiration of the sythesis of art and music.

This will be fundraiser event – All proceeds from the ticket sales of Jazz Canvas along with the proceeds from the painting raffle will go to the ALFC’s benevolence fund to help several families who are facing significant medical and life issues. Please come invite your friends and everyone you know, it will be a night to remember with an awesome cause!

So what’s the cause?

Imagine having to choose between your next meal or receiving medical care. For some, in our local Kitsap region, life is that impossible choice. They are suffering from health problems and have acquired overwhelming medical bills that are threatening loss of their shelter and the possibility of even eating their next meal. Many are retired and and/or unable to work and they NEED OUR HELP! These are our neighbors, people you wouldn’t expect; people like you and me.

When: Friday, June 15 – 7pm-9pm
Where: Abundant Life Foursquare Church,
5610 Kitsap Way in Bremerton, WA.
Who’s performing?: Tracie Marsh – bass/vocals, Terry Marsh – drums, Josh Mason – piano, Dave Carson – saxophone and featuring our very talented artist, Derek Gundy!
Tickets: $20

Abundant Life Foursquare Church is located inside the Cornerstone Building at 5610 Kitsap Way in Bremerton, WA. Please note that though their address is on Kitsap Way, but they are actually located on Crawford Drive.

Calling all artists!

We thought we’d put a post out there, we are always looking for qualified artists/painters for Jazz Canvas. We do travel occasionally but we like to stay near Kitsap/Seattle area. We prefer that you have been formally trained in art and/or music understanding basic concepts like, composition, color theory, theme and repetition. We require that you are deeply affected by music and it’s power. Experience playing an instrument often helps. This is a specialized “performer” position so auditons are required. Please contact Terry Marsh if interested
